This has been a favorite skirt of mine and my girls for years now! A homedrawn pattern we love (also available as you see in my list of products as the "GRACEN" sewing pattern if you want to make it yourself). We have worn and sewn these skirts for a long time and they still are a part of our daily wardrobe. They are so classic they never go out of style. It is not full and bulky but not so straight and tight to be immodest. It is very basic skirt custom-sewn for you.
The waistline is elasticized in the back and a drawstring in the front (see picture views below of back wasit and front waist details) -- this makes it adjustable and you can tie it in the front as tight or as loose as you would like. The drawstring is small and not bulky and adds a cute touch to the skirt. These skirts are not so straight that they need an immodest slit in them to walk comfortably.
We also will add a ruffle at the bottom if you like that look. My younger girls especially do! The one pictured is a new skirt I made in a soft 100% cotton to go with a pretty cotton button front top with pintucks for a feminine summer outfit to add to my wardrobe. I also have added a new hemline detail for you. See pictures below.
We will custom sew these in kneelength, mid calf or right above your ankle. We love wearing ours really long - they are so very feminine and you will love these comfortable, practical skirts that can be worn with any style top. I wear them with sleeveless tank tops with a pretty shirt over that for modesty and also with blouses and in the winter with long sleeve tshirts with a pretty sweater layered over.
All we need to custom-sew your skirt for you is:
** a finished length measurement from your waist to the hemline
** a waist measurement
** a hip measurement.
(For hip measurement please give us the fullest part of the hip approx 9" from your waistline).
These skirts do very well in soft lightweight denim, soft lighterweight linens (makes a lovely Sunday skirt!)
